WOW! Just installed the Magnaflow 16612 and a K&N intake 63 series and it absolutely sounds awesome! Very happy! I can't tell a huge difference in speed, but it definitly has picked up from gunning it from 40 mph to 60 mph. I was not really looking for a lot of gain, just a smooth low mellow sound. It definitly achieved that! For everyone out there that knocks Magnaflow, I just do not understand! Anyone else have this set up????
I just installed a 12256 2.5" SI/SO muffler on my new 06 and really like it. I may have to save up for a complete cat back system eventually.
Believe me, the complete cat back is awesome and well worth the money. You will love it. Also, the K and N 63 series just completes the system. Save up your money, a definite must have.
I sold my 98 F150 4x4 4.6L 2 weeks ago and had a K&N filter with a Pacesetter Air F/X FIPK and a Pacesetter Predator 3" SI/SO cat back on it. I really liked that combination. I'm only about $30K short right now since buying the new truck! The muffler will have to do for awhile. I have had the truck a week tomorow and have already done that plus tint the windows, get nice rubber floor mats to protect the carpet and ordered 2" drop shackles for the rear to level it out. Next week I plan to order a soft tonneau and possibly some oval nerf bars.
hey AZ DesertRat, tell me about the 2" rear drop shackles? Where you got them from and how hard they were to install. Want to get my truck leveled out( 05 screw). Don't know if I want to mess with the front end. Seems like the rear of the truck would be the way to go.
I just installed the 2" drop leveling kit on my 06 looks great! I got mine from Ford Racing Performance parts they come with wedges so your pinion angle dosen't change and you won't have vibration problems in driveline. Truck rides good and no vibrations.

Where did you get your 16612? How much? How was the install? Thats the kit I think I'm gonna go with. The cheapest I found so far is $407.
$407.00 IS A GOOD DEAL. I GOT MINE FOR $450.00. I HAVE SOME BUDDIES DOWN AT A TRUCK ACCESSORY STORE, THEY ASSISTED ME WITH THE INSTALL. IT WAS A BREEZE! IT TOOK LONGER TO GET OFF THE STOCK PIPE THAN IT DID TO PUT ON THE MAGNAFLOW. YOU WILL ABSOLUTLY LOVE THE SOUND OF THE 16612. GO FOR IT!! SORRY FOR ALL CAPS, DID NOT REALIZE IT WAS ON.
I did so today as well over the phone. They said that they are shipping out of PA and that it should be here (CT) by Friday. I have the same set up as you but in a 4.6. I cant wait!
