79 Heater/ A/C control problems!

Hi guys, need help with my 1979 F-150 Vacuum Switch Valve in the dash for the heater and A/C with the Deluxe heater. Over the years I have had to replace it several times and now it is getting very exspensive to do the same again. What is happening is the contact points for the blower will not make contact anymore. No contact, no blower!!!! The blower is the original motor and I have one on the shelf to change it but that is another thread to ask on FTE to get to the motor by going under the dash. I suspect that the motor is pulling too many amps and overheating the contact points and warping them but that is a guess. Any suggestions on how to check this out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Check the plug where the wires go into the switch. If the metal contacts in the plug are wore out, they will not make good contact with the switch. This will cause them to heat up, and the heat can migrate into the switch and cause it to fail.
