i got a fixer upper

hey everyone. i got a "new" truck sunday. my father-in-law gave me a 1978 f-150 custom. 300ci i6, granny gear 4sp, 4x4. it's got some rust, and it's been sitting up for a year or two. my dad and i got it running today but we've still got some tuning to do. the truck is a fixer upper for when my 10yr old son turns 16. i'm a big ford guy. they are all i've driven in my 16yrs of driving (also have a 2002 f-150 supercrew. i cant wait to dig into this truck. i'm sure i'll have some questions for you guys. i'm really impressed with the knowledge of some of y'all. great web site. roll tide!

Welcome to the site, sounds like a great truck for you to play with untill your son gets old enough to drive, and a great truck for him when it comes time.
