Anybody know good tranny rebuilders (C-6)
I have just pulled the tranny with Jakes help (thanks jake ) and I would like it rebuilt. It will be setting behind a 460 stock for now but will be rebuilding with in 6 months or so. I would like the to put in the lower first gear out of a E4OD if possable, any help would be great. I am wanting to do this in the next month or so if possable.
thanks for the help

There is a guy in Fairfield by the name of Dennis Tucker (Tucker Trans Service). Does one of the best tranny jobs around, and reasonably priced. Not sure how much work he does since he retired from John Deere, but it would be worth the call. 641-472-9073
Edit: There is also Wanders Machine in Oskaloosa. I have most of my machine work done there. Kevin, the owner, knows his stuff. He may be able to do the low gear swap, as I'm not sure Tucker will. They are a little pricer, but will warranty the rebuild for 3yrs/36k miles. 641-673-9677

Yes I can and do rebuilt trannies, I won't let anyone else build my race tranny. I sent you a return email (hadn't read this till it was mentioned to me and I saw your email.)
Yes you can put the wide ratio gear set in but personally it's easier and about as cheap to buy it in hte kit rather than modify one straight out of the EAOD tranny although if you happen to have one laying around for free than it might be cheaper.
