does anyone know the best timing setting to get more horse out of my 1978 f150 with a 351m engine? or the best torque?

Advancing the timing will give you more power. I dont know the exact spec, and it will vary from truck to truck. You should start out by just advancing a few degrees and see what happens. If you arent pulling a load you can get away with quite a bit of advance. If you go to far it will start pinging and thats not good. If you run high octane gas you can go even further with it.
