Sorry, there is a problem with the software - FTE is working on it. Anybody who has tried to join but has not been accepted, please PM me. Your application has been lost in the system.
Membership acceptance should be automatic.
To see if you or anyone else is a member, just click on the poster's name and his/her profile comes up. On that pop-up is listed their chapter memberships.
is there a official count of how many people we have in our chapter?
No, not to my knowledge. I still do not have all the chapter leader privileges so I can not access all the screens, but that is one of the questions I have been asking.
The data has been collected so it has to be just a matter of querying the database. I do not know why FTE has not made that available as part of the member search screens.
I have been using the number of people who sign up on the Frapper map as an indication. I do know that many members of FTE are also chapter members but are not active here.
I have sent out over 100 emails and PMs and have received only two or three responses.
One thing we can all do is when we see someone posting that has listed California or Nevada in their signatures is to email or PM them and ask if they are a member, or want to be a member, of our chapter.
when will FTE give you all the chapter leader privileges? ken also needs to change your title to "chapter leader" instead of "Posting Guru".
Well, you better ask him. FTE seems to have a lot of administrative problems with the software, and nothing is automatic or completed quickly. We have been waiting 2 weeks for our chapter webspace, or even just a clear statement as to what the web address will be, so I could get the cards printed. Other chapters have waited months.
I am sorta discouraged with their response - it is like their system is overloaded, and they spend more time putting out fires, fixing mistakes, and making apologies than working their system. I am sure it is as flustrating to them as it is to us.
I see you posting on the NW chapter - that is a good case in point. Think of the time they spent over that mess, and the spinoffs. I don't know who is right or wrong, but people seem to forget that this is a service provided to them for free, but it is provided under FTE rules and at their convenience.
