OD off light flashing

OD off light flashing
Started the ol truck up the other morning and for some reason Over Drive light was flashing. When I put it in gear, it stopped. Also seemed to shift funny, sometimes shift to slow, and it would hang in a gear, or it would shift hard. Has anyone ever heard of this? I checked with my chitons manual, but didn't find anything about it.
The only thing that I know of that has changed with it, is the temperature outside.

Ok, just found another thread about OD light, I guess I will have to count the flashes, but it didn't seem to be giveing any codes, just flashes. Is there a way to retreive the codes. Is it just like reading the Computer?

You probably have a transmission range selector switch problem , either not reading or it has been knocked out of alignment. check the switch connection on the right hand side of the transmission also select neutral and see if the aligning marks line up. If all is ok self test your PCM for fault codes, both memory and On Demand trouble codes. Hope this helps
