E4OD Drive Problems
Hi,
I've got a 93' diesel with an E4OD that has given nothing but problems over the last few years. Nothing I seem to do fixes any of the problems, they just go away on there own and are replace by something else. A few months ago I was going down the road and I blew the front pump seal and shot fluid all over the road. I limped her back home by adding fluid every couple of miles and finally got the seal replaced. Before this happened reverse would be tricky sometimes. I usually worked ok but every know and then I would need to pull forward a few feet to get it to engage. After I replace the seal reverse worked great but the forward gears sucked. I thought I messed something up in the trans when I blew the seal until I found that it I put the trans in first or second it accelerated fine. I've been driving like this for awhile waiting for it to get warm out so I can fix the problem. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it.
