Forum order

I doubt the site would be FTE if I wasn't thrown off when changes were made. What was the old forum software, php? People had a hard time making the switch, even though Ken did what he could to ease the transition. I was thinking, if for some odd reason, Ken decided to go back to that it would be utter chaos around here. Even though we didn't think we could function with the change at the time....
I think the new order makes sense, maybe not for those with over 100 posts, but for brand new people. The only possible improvement I would make is to put new user announcements and intro up at the top. Kind of an invitation to post and read the rules, right off the bat.

I can say that when i log on i usually glance at the new posts on all the forums that you can see when the screen loads. Then i hit the user CP button and see if i've had any reply's to my posts. Someone posted earlier that the Next gen. forum is all the way at the bottom.... The way to get around that is to subscribe to the forum so when you click on your user CP its right there. and you dont have to scroll all the way down. But i can tell you it works, this is the first time since the change that i've scrolled down to read the GD fourms, and i've seen alot of stuff that i never knew was there with the old setup. Might I add i like the sponsership being put with the forums, gives it some color.
