I have visited this forum for many a day getting useful info from the many threads before seeing whether I will get the best of my truck, or if it will get the best of me. I have a "1980 Ford F-100 Custom" truck, 6 straight inline, longbed (hence the name) and am looking to do some work on what I call the "Beast". It is still in running condition so far, engine seems to be taken care of nicely, and runs strong still - the bigest thing that it needs, is a bit of bed work (holes here and there about the size of a quarter to one or two I could almost put my fist thru), but overall I am looking to get some more experience working on vehicles. The truck is so massive that it comes within 3" of not fitting in my garage. Funny thing about the truck is that when I bought it, the right motor mount rubber & bolt was missing, and to attach it, the previous owner had taken a hand cable winch to tighten it to the mounting bracket, complete with a coat-hanger wrapped around it to make sure the handle wouldnt open loosening up! (yes, it is still like that - come to think of it, I haven't even registered it yet either after almost 2 years - though I run it now and again -- where oh where to buy some seafoam) Anyhow, I look forward to being a part of the community here and if you around my town, feel free to message me!
