Hey guyz, i got a problem that has racked everyone's brain that i know. I got a 92 flareside 4x4, it's a 5.0 backed by an e40d. To start the story, i rebuilt the motor, nuttin wild. It's the stock block bored 40 over, keith black flat tops, eagle rods, stock crank, got a stock 88 gt mustang cam, with is roller as i'm sure all you know. It's got crane 1.7 roller rockers, a set of stock gt40p heads off a 2000 explorer, no port work or anything.Well they have been cut 5 thousandths. But anyway its got a bbk 65mm throttle body i think it's 65, on the stock intake, and it has long tube headers, k and n fipk, and 2.5 exhaust through hooker aerochambers. It also has 33x12.50x20 with 4.10 gears. Well the problem it has is that it runs and drives great, idles smooth, plenty of power, until you run her hard or race it up above 3500. Then the idle hits the dumps and it take it a couple of real big surges and if ur lucky it'll idle again, or u my can feather it out. However it doesn't do it all the time. U can hit it sometimes and it works like a champ. Anyone have any idea what is goin on, i'm to the point where i'm about to find it another home or something.
