I'm going to do the in tank mod, and I'm looking at the kits from Diesel Mannor & Diesel Innovations. Does it make a difference which kit to go with. The DM kit is using a long Z tube on the return line, and I will need to buy a inline filter. The DI kit does not use any additional yube on the return line.
Also any ideas on a in line filter I should use? right now I can't afford the Dhal style filters. I need the extra $$ for my SSHX line.
i used the one from Diesel Manor, and the only thing i dont like, is that it doesnt have that small inline filter. that small inline filter like in the other kit you mentioned, is good enough for me as a prepump filter. i dont want an expensive Dahl or something like that. well i do want one, but i just have other things i want more.
Does'nt the small filter require using hose clamps to hook it up? If it does, hose clamps tend to chew up rubber hose with removal and reinstallation when changing them.
I went with the ITP kit. The DM kit sounds similar with it's long return tube. That's one thing I liked. Any returning fuel is a good distance away from the pickup.
I'd try to save up your money for the Dahl. It will do more for your trucks longevity than the HPX line will. Just my .02.
Rich.. I just installed the Diesel Manor kit this weekend, everything went together smoothly and the directions were complete. I also used their System 1 pre-pump filter, it on the expensive side at $100.00 but it is a top quality item. In short I’ve had great luck with their products. Just my thoughts. Jeff in NM…OUT
