Tonneau Cover
I think I got a pretty good deal on this one. Ya win some and lose a lot more.
Has anyone had any experience with this top.???? I just want it to keep things dry like when ya go shopping or whatever . I heard they help with Gas Mileage and does anyone have any Idea of what they weigh. Searched all over the sales brochure and they neglected to state the weight.
Having run mine in serious rain/snow, the key is the tailgate gasket around the opening. Get the Pace Edwards type stick on seal.
right now I switched to a Roll Top tonneau from a cap hich was after the hard top tonneau. I had to swap to a cap due to work considerations, then the ticket cops started enforcing the camper top on a non commercial vehicle w/out "camping" srap in the back (they want all tradespeople to get commercial plates since the cost is 2xto 3x
plus a major mordita on the insurance).
The other thing...bedliner? Drop in or Spray on? Makes a diff installinga drain. Did this on my 94 and just did on my 99. 2 in back and 2 below the Roll top box. Rears will handle 99% of the water that may get in at all plus whatever gets in when you opened it in the rain. BTW get a poplock or electric tailgate lock. You can still open the tailgate if you pull hard enough and pull it under an over the top type tonneau., bad folks know this, esp. the ones strong enuff to do it!
