I'm working on setting up my rear suspension and today I was trying to replace all my spring eye bushings. I pressed out the bushing in the shackle with tons of effort.
The new ones dont seem like theyll fit in at all.
The bushings are intended for a "1973-79 Ford Truck". I have a 78 F250 camper special.
The larger bushings for the spring eyes slide in and out fairly easily.
There are three bushings per spring. Two are the same, larger size (the ends of the spring), and 1 is a different, smaller size (where shackle meets mount).
The smaller size is the one that seems too big. It is smaller than the larger bushings, but not by the same amount as the difference in hole size.
They seem as though they will go in with a lot of effort, which would be fine with me, as long as their tightness wont affect the springs ability to perform.
