you'd prolly be better off going to the seperate chapter forums, there you can find ppl who are close to you and know your area!
you are always welcome to come out here to the east coast and play.... however our mud bogging includes steep uphill grades littered with keg sized rocks and a waterfall streaming through the middle! it's fun! i plan to have the bronco rolling within the next 2 weeks since i have a good break from skool/work
I looked into it a while back when I was thinking of going to mizzou. I did a search on the web and most of the trails were ATV's only or had a wheelbase maximum. search on google, then post ofver on FSB. most of hte people there wheel and they helped me when I asked them
There's a fairly new place that, if I remember correctly, is called the Southern Missouri off road ranch, or something to that effect that is getting some good talk. Also, check out MMOR website, they do trailrides and some different types of mud racing.
I've heard about the SMORR on FSB, the Midwest M&G as between that place and some badlands place out in Indiana. I wish the M&G had been decided for the missouri one lol. Though..that's still a ways away.
BroncoII, you do realize that Missouri has all kinds of offroading all over the place. It's called no-maintenance roads.
I don't know where you are at, but here are a few places that I have heard of. I plan on going to the one in KC as soon as it warms up here. http://www.ksrockspark.com/index.html I havn't been here yet but this one looks alright. Looks like they have some interesting trails. I would take my pickup on the "blue" rated trails.
http://www.mostateparks.com/stjoe/trails.htm This place looks pretty sweet. Only problem is it's like 4hrs from me. Those sand dunes are freakin tempting though.
Let me know when/if you go and maybe we could meet up and do some wheeling.
There are several places to wheel in or around Missouri. There are a lot of trails open to 4x4's in Mark Twain National Forest down by Cassville, D-day 4x4 by Seneca, Disney and KS Rocks aren't that far away, Rockport Ill isn't to bad of a drive, and you can get to Superlift park or Harrison offroad park in about six hours. I live in Southwest Missouri. There's also Chadwick by Ozark if you are just wanting to test something new on the rig before you go to far away.
