relocating coil packs

Does anyone out there know if there are any issues with moving the coil packs (from a 1993 4.6) to the firewall?

I think that they use the engine fan to help cool them, but other than not being grounded directly to the engine, I don't know why you couldn't move them.

Thanks for the response. I hadn't thought of the cooling aspect but was unsure of electronic interference with other sensors/equipment.

The main reason for relocating is to create space at the front of the engine. In older vehicles, the coil packs increase the engine width in an area where many engine compartments are narrowing (we are talking about pre 1948 here)

Mount them to the firewall, just run a ground strap from each coil to the intake somewhere for a better coil to engine ground.
