Hi!
I found this website today while looking for information on replacement
parts for my truck.
I never really intended to own a 30+ year old truck. Some one (a former friend) found out I own an apartment building, and convinced me that his old 1978 F 150 truck with a lawncare bed on it would be "just perfect" for me to haul stuff in as my first truck. And he would sell it to me cheap.
Many hauling adventures later (sneaking a 500 lb assemble it yourself large tool shed home from Sam's on the side streets of Cincinnati is my favorite one) the truck is awaiting needed repairs, again.
I am hook/stuck/perplexed at how to explain the unlovely, but mostly usable truck that sits in my backyard. The reason is I am a woman, and as you fellows know, explaining to female friends why it is good to own an old truck that is "ugly as sin" is a tough sales job!!!
So, I picked "too late" as my sign in name, is because, it is too late for me to go back to not having a truck, or renting one by the day. And too late because my friends now know I have the truck, and request for help to haul things. That tailgate ramp that drops down clear to the ground is a feature that will probably keep me fixing and repairing the truck for years to come.
Too Late
We are happy to have you! There is a ton of great info on this site. But, before you go snooping around there are a few things you need to do first.
1) Want to meet or talk to other members in your area? There are Provincial, State and International Chapters located near the bottom of the main forum page.
2) Before you post a thread asking a question be especially aware of where (what forum) to place it in. FTE is HUGE! Make sure you read the Read First: at the top of the forum before you go posting.
3) And finally you should review the Guidelines. They will kind of give you an idea of what is and isn't allowed on this site ("The Rules").
And that is it. I hope you enjoy the FTE "Experience"! This is a great place and we have lots of fun while exchanging valuable info. If you have any questions or problems do NOT hesitate to contact me. Just click my username then send me an email.
