Fixed the problem, need some knowledge
My 390 was popping through the carb. Turned out the spacer I had under it was cracked. Replaced it and the problem dissapeared. What should the Idle be at when the vehicle is in drive and what would be the benifit of advancing my timing from 12 to 14?

Put in as much advance as you can without pinging. If it pings at all, back it off just to where it quits. (Pinging not only reduces power, it increases heat and is destructive to your engine.)
