I have a 77f100 custom pickup with an axle code of 47, it is a 9 inch, thanks whd for that answer, my question is..given this code can someone tell me what the gear ratio is? also i want to make sure this is a 360 FE block, i found out i could look on the passenger side between the two bolts and as well on the numbers in the heads, so what numbers am i looking for? Thanks, f100

I believe almost all 1/2 tons of this era had the 9" Ford. If it hasn't been messed with there should be a metal tag under one of the pumpkin bolts that will give the ratio. i.e. 3.50 and a "P" if it's traction lock.
