460 Oil Consumption
Hi. New guy here with oiling problems. 1989 f-350,460,5spd,on propane,consuming 3 quarts per 1000 miles. Recently took throttle body off and full of oil. Cleaned and idle improved. Is it my rings and cylinders, or valve seals and guides? Truck has approx. 200,000 km's. Heads, cam,timing chain, bearings etc. replaced/serviced at 100,000 km's but not the rings. Used mainly as daily driver and for towing 10,000 lb. car trailer. Stock compression, ex. manifolds, intake other than the propane set-up. Any comments appreciated.

well I would run a compression test this would be the fastest way to see if you have a problem with your rings. if your throttle body is full of oil sounds like a blow by problem or possibly you have a stuck pcv valve which could cause some of that so there is something you might want to check/replace.
