Frame Mounts

Is it true that that 351M and 400M used the same frame mounts as a 302-351W?

Yes they will work! I just put a 302 in my truck I went to junk yard and found 351m Frame Mounts i had my doubts but I came home bolted them in and they work just fine! 302 Moter mounts fit in frame mount holes just fine! Tell you the truth I just done this about 4 hours ago!

I have a 1979 f150. Had a stock 302 in it. I put in a 400, same motor mounts etc, no problem whatsoever. dropped right in. I did run into problems trying to install headers though due to the steering gearbox being in the way.

...and I had problems (spell that REMOVE) with the kickdown linkage and firewall clearance problems when I put a Big Block (351M) into my '72 on Small Block (302) towers. Due to clearance problems the tranny will never come out of that truck without pulling the engine.
