Question 2002 7.3L idle control

Hi everyone, I'm trying to help a friend out. He has a '02 with the 7.3 and want's to know if it's possible to disconnect the idle control on his truck. I guess it automatically ramps up, but he's wanting to defeat that ability. If you could help me out I'd really appreciate it!! Thanks

why does he want to dissable it? that feature does a couple of things, it helps warm the engine, and it also keeps the engine from wetstacking.

I agree....that is a matter of sensor input to the PCM saying the engine needs more warm-up.
