help!! Temperature sending unit

Where is the temperature sending unit located on a 80 300(4.9L)?

I just got my pu back from the dealership after getting a new clutch put in and the temp gauge no longer works. Where is the sending unit located?

one on top by the thermostat, and one in the block back below the exhaust manifold passenger side. look for 90 degree rubber boot electrical plugs....red I think.

Some of them are in the thermostat housing (mostly later engines), but most are actually in the block. Look just below the #6 intake runner & thats where you'll most likely find it.

The sensor for your gauge is in the block below the #6 intake runner - I hope your arm bends in two different directions (Take out the starter it's easier to change the sensor)
