I want to turn my truck in to a street truck but keep it with the 2 1/2" lift and 32s what could i do to get it handle better? sway bars for the front and rear? would that help? I want to tear it down this summer and start restoring it with alot of powder coating and polishing of parts. For the 400 its going to be bored .030 over with 10to1 pistons in it alot of porting weiand intake comp cams 268H series cam, Would i need anything to make the bottem end stronger? I have seen main stud gurtles for the 351W what about for the M-block?
sway bars and heavy duty shocks will help alot for the handling, but is is a big truck and will only do so much, people hate it when they are in their little lowriders and you pass them in a big ol ford. heavy duty springs could be an option.

If you want to make it handle better get rid of the lift, and lower it a few inches, add sway bars, and get taller rims and low profile tires, Also, why have "alot of porting" to the heads, then run that small of a cam? I'd either leave the heads relatively stock and get a good three angle valve job a bowl cleanup and run that cam, or step up to a cam that will allow the porting to do some good, that cam is still a milage cam which doesn't really go with the higher lift flow increase "alot of porting" will give. Not to mention the M series heads already have ports that are fairly generous, flow improvement can actually gained by filling the bottom of the ports some. As in the exhaust plates they make for Cleveland heads for example. I dont know how high you want to spin the engine, but bearing speed should be a concern with the 3" mains. Step up to main studs if you want, but confer with your engine builder as he will probably know a lot more than me about that.
That was the wrong cam i wrote down the right one is a Lunati Street Master Cam 2,000-6,000rpm .536/.562lift i am going to do it close to the hot rod mag. article did.I will need to keep it the same right for driving in the winter michigan roads suck and i just want to be able to do better then the new chevy and dodges that have a small lift on theres with duals and think they are the toughest thing out there. One more question will i need to put the chrome moly axle shafts in my dana 44 with it being the weak link to the drivetrain and putting close to 500tq to it?

Would i have to get the 4 shock pieces off a bronco? it has a 2 1/2" lift the coils are rough country are there any better coils for ride? If im running a 32s on it what size gears should i run with them?
