I have an 02 Screw 4X4 ---- I had the factory "fake" Ranchos on it for 45,000 miles...... Decided it was time for an upgrade..... Went with 4 Bilstein shocks.....Had them installed by a local shop thursday.....
My old stock Rachos were rough handling...... The ride with the new bilsteins is still rough.....Now... It "handles" much better with the Bils, but the ride is a lot rougher than expected.... I guess there isn't any adjustments on these Bils.?
For summary --- Bils. handle very well.... Minimal rolling.... Happy here;
Ride cushioning = rough.... Kind of reminds me of the stock Rachos.... Well, not that bad.... But not as expected.....
Any thoughts?

I put Bilstein's on the front of my '95. At first they were quite stiff but after a few thousand miles they softened just a bit and I am very pleased with them. Run them for a while and see what you think.
If you wanted a soft ride you could have bought Rancho 9000 shocks that you can adjust as sprocket said it's a truck it's made to have a stiff suspension and not a soft ride like a caddy or lincoln.
