As I've read the posts over time I've seen many folks wondering if they had this or that. When I bought my '72 F-250 4x4 the fellow had pulled of all the decals to paint and subsequently lost them. I always figured I had a F-250 period, but after reading through some of the recent posts about "specials" I've began to wonder. Since my rig has the three gas tanks, extended mirrors, and helper springs over the leafs in back I've begun to wonder if I have a "special" (no comments from the peanut gallery about me being special in the "Jerry's kid" sort of way). Any ideas, or even better, anybody know of any good links that lists options/packages for my year? I've looked around and searched the threads but have come up snakeyes. Thanks gang.

Referring to Stockman's link, I got a report on my '68 F250 CS from the Ford Customer Assistance Center about a year ago. It tells you the original specifications and optional equipment at the time of manufacture. They even tell you the date of manufacture, all hand-signed on Ford letterhead. Pretty cool service!

Ford does not prepare these letters, rather their CAC does; they are a subcontractor who has access to Ford's database. My point is that these reports are not perfect. For instance, I have a letter prepared by CAC on my fire truck which shows, among other things, bucket seats and power steering, either of which I would gladly take :-), but of course, PS was not an option for a 4wd in 1967. I also know that the truck came originally equipped with a heavy duty black vinyl bench seat. Don't get me wrong...given that they give you a report with options for the cost of the toll-call, you can't really complain. [/font]
Has it been 30 years already!? Yup, thats one of the reasons I was curious what came out from the factory that year. I actually found that link about 5 months ago and put the call in but never got anything back from them. Guess I'd better give it another try. Thanks for the leads guys and here's to the short bus!
