brakes
ok guys, 71 f100 sport custom, seafoam green, white top,, nice truck, rebuilt engine, new tires. ok.. two years in storage, fired it up,, bless her. idles perfect. the thing is have no brakes. no pressure on the pedal. now i got 99 so i dont have to worry about such. she, as i call her, "olive", all trucks gotta have a name u know, whats going on? i know i should get a manuel. but this seems simple. i no nothing about brakes. i pulled the brake canister and it is full. call me stupid, but is there air in the line? appreciate ur advise. I would check the mechanical linkage first. Then open one of the wheel cylinder bleeder valves and push on the brake pedal. Brake fluid and/or air should shoot out the bleeder. If nothing happens, the likely culprit is the master cylinder. Good luck.
