Empty Carb?
This has always got my curiosity going. Two of my vehicles have carburators. If they sit for a while (week or so) They are difficult to start, like they don't have any gas in the fuel bowls. In fact, sometimes I have to pump the pedal to get gas in the intake. Anyone know what causes this?

Several possibilities: perculation on shut down-causing the fuel to boil out; evaporation-if hot weather; fuel bowl or screw leaks; accelerator pump leaks; fuel pump chack valve problems-allows fuel in carb line to drain out.
Some will only happen to certain styles of carb others are universal carb issues.
