No ,it does not. The 352 was cast in many of the FE blocks, since that was one of the original displacements. My 428 has 352 cast in the block!! It does however let you know the bore is at least 4.00" and the stroke is at least 3.5", if that is any help.
no, alot of fe blocks have 352 cast into them, they were cast a dearborn iron foundry, later they had a mirror image 105 there and they case somewhere else i forget where. it could be a 360 or a 390 mostlikey it is a 360.
105 castings were poured at MCC (Michigan Casting Center). Also for a very brief period some block castings were poured at CF (Cleveland Foundry) I think around 68? Not positive on that timeframe....
Check Your Block Casting Number On The Lower Half Of Your Block. It Should Be Located On The Vertical Part Of The Block Called The "skirt" Near The Corner Of The Transition Area By The Freeze Plugs. Most Engine Casting Numbers Are 5 Character Alpha Numeric. Some Have An Extra Dash With A Letter Added On. The Casting Number, Like The Others Mentioned Gives You The Meat And Potatoes. Year, C.i.d., Platform, Foundry, Etc. If You Decipher The Casting Code You Will Know Exactly What You Have In Most Cases. (there Are Anomoly Blocks) If You Have A 352 On The Front Of Your Block You Probably Have An F.e. Block. This Should Narrow It Down For You. 330md, 330hd, 360, 361, And 391 Are F.T. Blocks. (heavy Duty) They Usually Have Larger O.d. Crank Snout And Forged Crank, And Some Have Extra Ribs On The Main Caps And Block Surface. Also 4 Ring Pistons For Industrial Applications. Almost All Of These (heavy Duty) Were Cast With The Mirror Image 105. Anyhoo. Don't Want To Beat A Dead Horse, But If Your Engine Is Original Equipment For Your Truck And It Has A 352 Cast On The Front Then It Is Probably A 390. The First 2 Characters Of Your Casting Number Should Tell The Story. They Should Be Either D6??? Or D7??? 390 Cid Was The Largest F.E. Block For The Trucks Back Then. Everything Else Was Heavy Duty Truck (F.T.) Hope That Helps And Will Not Be Considered Tech Babble :-)
