I have an 06 F350 with the standard XLT power mirrors. Has any one found a good stick on or other type of additional mirror that will help eliminate the passenger side blindspot? Are the TT mirrors any better and is it worth it to do a switch just for this reason? Thanks.
There really easy to do yourself.Pull off the inside trim, remove 2 or 3 bolts(i dont remember how many bolts there was) pull off the old one and install the new one.Same bolt holes.Reinstall the plastic trim peice.
IMO

On my 99 CC SD I bought the 3" round stick on mirror and put it on the lower outside corner of the mirror.
I also bought a 2" round stick on mirror and put it on the Plastic casing. There is a small flat spot that is perfect.
They worked great and were a cheap fix.
But now that I have my 06 I got the trailer tow mirrors mainly because they are heated. I wouldn't change them just for the blindspot issue, but if you want heat and fix the blindspot, then I would.
I have a commercial topper on my F350 that allows no view through the rear-view mirror, so I have to back with my side mirrors. I configure the big mirror to be my "rear-view", the small mirror to be a "look-down" watching the rear wheels, and the C-BET'R mirrors to watch my blindspots. They're worth every penny, and extremely well made.
Only one downside - you can't fold the mirrors back against the truck if they're completely collapsed, as the C-BET'R mirrors strike the truck. You'll have to pull the TT mirror out a bit and slide the CBs out to fold the dumbo ears in.

I did what he did.. Tow mirrors and C-BETR's. I thought the factory spots stunk. I added the C-BETR mirrors and pointed the factory spot mirrors at the tires so I could see where the parking lot lines are in relation to the tires. I am good enough now I can get the rear bumper lined up with the line every time...
If you are short, the factory TT mirrors are probably pretty good. I am not, and they are pretty darn good if you get them aimed just right. There is no way to cover your blind spots AND tires though, which would be nice for parking.
If cost is an issue (when isn't it?) start with a 3" round stick-on mirror, and see how you like it. For, me it easily does the job. To buy a set of power TT mirrors and install them is a bunch of work and money. The stick on mirror does an excellent job of revealing that evil Subaru wagon hiding in your blind spot. But, it covers a fair amount of the mirror space, so your ability to see long distance in the bigger mirror is hampered.
I just swapped out my power paddle mirrors for ford OEM power TT mirrors on my '06 F350 . I bought them at the dealer because I didn't trust the quality of the after market replacements. Any one looking for an almost new pair of factory, power paddle mirrors, drop me a line. Thanks for the instalation help I found on this forum.

Another vote for trailer tow mirrors plus C-Betrs. Absolutely zero blind spots. Never have to look over my shoulder or in the rear view - just a quick glance to the C-betrs and I know it's safe to change lanes.
I have a dually so I keep my mirrors all the way out all the time anyway, and my c-betrs are right next to them, so I can fold the mirrors in (although I never do).
I also keep the lower mirrors pointed down where my rear wheels hit the ground - great for parking.
I think if you were to do just ONE mod to your Superduty, for improving driveability - it would be a pair of C-Betrs (and not bad for $30 or so).
