Unhappy Bad Block

My 8BA is not any good, lots of sleeves and numerous cracks. I have already ground the crank, ordered bearings, pistons, valves etc. I know, I know, I should have waited. The long and short of it is that I have found a 59 block, complete with transmission for little $. Question: What parts can I use from the 8BA if this 59 is good block? I need to salvage what I can. Thanks,
David

I'm not to good about saying what parts will go with what when it comes to flatheads and later motors, but if I was you and I had done all of that work like you have I would look for another flathead block. Where do you live. I know a guy who has a couple of flathead motors laying around. One is good for sure. The others has not been took apart so I don't know about them. I'm in KY. Someone on here can answer your question. But you was right about waiting b/c when it comes to flatheads it is a hit and miss game to find a good one.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately as far as flatheads are concerned, Idaho is out in the boon docks.
