Tire Size

Hey guys. I am a brand new Ford owner. I just bought my first, a 2006 F350 CC/SB Lariat. I was wondering What size tires are guys running on these? I have the 20" rims(beautiful rim). Will I be able to run 35/12.5/20 Toyo M/T's with out a leveling kit? Any comment wil be greatly apprieciated.

Thanks

Hi ABFord. Welcome to FTE. I just have stock tires, but I'm sure somebody will be along to answer your question.

You might try a search in this forum, or try the forum down the page that includes tires, or maybe the diesel forum. They seem to use bigger tires. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

YES, those will fit.

There are some pictures here of how 35's fit on my 350. I have the 18 inch rims, but these are 35" Nitto Terra Grapplers on the stock wheels with stock suspension.

I do have the camper package which includes heavy service front springs, but I'm pretty sure others without the camper package run 35's on stock suspension with no problems.

They will fit, but with some slight rubbing at full turn. I would recommend going with a leveling kit to eliminate the rubbing all together...or choose a smaller tire...IMO.

Congrats on your NEW SD!

mine don't rub at all, never have and I offroad every day. Even at lock-to-lock, off-camber there is room. Plenty of room. We are talking about an 05/06.

Somebody had pictures with a bunch of trucks with tires and lifts. Can't remember who it was but somebody may chime in.

ABFord, Welcome to FTE!

05+ trucks can run 35's. Just don't go too wide and you'll have no problem.

35/12.50's, you're fine.

Top of the forum is the Lift Kits thread. Post # 17 and 49 have the pics. Here's the link.

I run the 35x12.50.20 toyo MT on my truck, with a 4 inch lift and on a sharp turn I get a slight rub on a bump or something like that. Only enough to scuff the paint on the radius arm. There are pictures in my gallery. Love the tires.

The Toyo's you are talking about are only about 1/2 inch taller than the stock Conti's. That would be about a 1/4 taller on each side of the tire. They fit no problems. I had the 20's on my truck but got the dealer to swap out to 18's and I put 35x12.50 BF MudTerrain's on mine. No rub at all at full turn either direction. I have the 06' 350 CC/SB with heavy service suspension package.

Well I just priced out the toyo m/t's(35/12.50/20) and the tire shop wants $3100cdn for a set of 4 mounted and balanced. SO I don't know if the wife will let me pay that much for tires. How much were the mud grapplers compared to toyos? Or are there any other mud tires in the same size that are comparable and cheaper.

Well, I got BF Goodrich for $280 a piece American. Of course those were 35x12.5x18's. Balance and mounting were an additional $45.
