Wow what a shock took 5 weeks off and today is my first day back for a 7 day shift, haven't done anything yet except check threads on FTE.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
no everything wasn't as I left it one of my helicopters was switched with a back up ship, other than that was prety much the same, the deal is that we don't leave any maintenance due under 10 flight hours, or 5 normal flight days. so the first day back is just refreshing yourself on everything coming up in the next week. also both aircraft are to be clean and detailed on your last day. at least with my opposite mechanic and myself.
oh I did forget the down side I am on call (with in 60 minutes of the aircraft ) 24/7 for my 7 days on. this means during that time with 4 pilots per helicopter I have an 800% chance that one will whine at 2:00 AM about a flight and call me in to check something stupid, so the flight can get canceled and the pilot can go back to bed.
