whats up all i have a 97 diesel f350 crew cab 6 inch lift on 35,s im thinkin of doin an exhaust i think mine is stock at 3.5 inches.will i notice an improvement by going to a 4inch?and where should i order it from and whats involved as far as installation?i like to do my own labor
Got my intake & exhaust (3-4" downpipe, 4" exhaust w/ straight-thru muffler) from Dale at Tymar Performance (509) 922-8785. I'm quite pleased with both the performance imporvement and the sound. Price was pretty good, too.
Your stock downpipe is 3"...and squashed at that. A nice round 3 or 3.5" downpipe with a 4" back will do wonders for the performanceand sound of the rig.
If you look in my gallery have pic of tymar downpipe beside stock. I say go tymar all the way, heck of a nice guy and great products. If you have a body lift you may be able to put a bigger downpipe on it but some say won't spool quick enough with larger without higher mods I don't know.
You need to at least do a down pipe and cat test pipe. We stock cown pipes and cat pipe is aluminized and stainless.
If you want to really do it the best way look at one of the MBRP or AFE full systems. You can get them in aluminized or stainless and they have a 3 inch down pipe aand a full 4 inch system from there back for max flow rate. The MBRP even starts the 4 inch section way up on the down pipe to get the best flow as soon as possible. Call us if you have any questions we'll be glad to help etc.
