I am thinking about up grading to a different truck and I was going throught the auto trader on the net and saw a 99F250XLT PSD 2X4 at Merlin Ford in Saskatoon. I was just wondering if any of you Saskatoon guys (Fomoko 66gpw) had any dealings with them or Know what kind of reputation they have. If things turn out I may be going to Saskatoon sooner than I think.
Corner Gas, I think that Merlin Ford would be good, I think they still have a 7 day money back guarantee on used vehicles but ask.
If you like I could have a look at this truck for you next week. I`m sure they will have something that you will like. Jubilee Ford is the other Saskatoon Ford dealer and should have afew PSD trucks.
If you are coming here let us know ahead and maybe afew of us can meet up.
Merlin usually gives better deals than Jubilee. When I need parts they are cheaper there.
Co-worker here just bought a 2006 truck from them. He is suspose to have it next week. Not sure of the truck. He will be using it on his farm and mainly got it for hauling a camper to the lake. He bought it for around 45,000. I beleive it is a 3/4 or 1 ton.
The price tags for me are a bit high, that is half of my mortgage.
Isnt that the truth on the prices of new trucks 66. I looked at a used 2003 superduty a few weeks ago, and it was 30 grand. 1/4 of my mortgage, but damn thats alot of coin for a used truck! Was a damn nice truck though!
Used trucks are expensive thats for sure. The one I saw at Merlin is $19,900 so that is just within my price range and the kms are low to so that is a bonus. I talked to the salesman this morning and he said they just took it on trade for a new truck and that it is in excellent condition. I won't be able to get up there till some time next week if I do go but it is what I have been looking for. Things are kind of hectic for me right now so I will see how it goes.
Fomoko I you had time to look at it some time to look at it I sure would apreciate it, no need to go out of your way though.
Thanks for the feed back guys.
Get the dealer to take other pics on their digital and email them to you. The pic is not enough. Have different angles and the interior and the engine area. If they can the odometere.
That's a good idea. I hadn't thought of emailed pics. I guess it would be the same as Ebay or MPIC auctions out here. There are a handful of pics and if you want more, you have to request them.
I got some pictures of the truck from a salesman and it looks like the truck is in good shape! However, I was in Regina yesterday and driving past a Ford dealer and there in the lot is a 2000 PSD with only 88,000kms. They want $22,800 for which is a little more than what I want to pay but I am going back tomorrow to see if they will drop the price some. The one in Saskatoon is more in my price range so I am still leaning towards that one.
