Superchip ?
Hi, i have a 2004 F150 Supercrew Fx4, and i installed the High Performance Superchip program on my truck, and now when i get on the gas hard to pass, and when i hit 80 mph the truck flattens out, like the Rev limiter is kicking in, when i have the high performance program installed, should i have the rev limiter turned off?

You might want to just give Superchips a ring, and make sure what you are experiencing is normal. www.superchips.com

No he is correct...the 1815 is the Superchips Flashpaq for his 05 F150 5.4L. Do you not like the Edge? Its less money and has more to offer as in features and looks. We have a bunch of the 1815's and It seems everyone goes for the Edge. Everyone has there reasons, I wouldnt say no to either really. They are both good products. Also many think you have to leave the edge in the truck and that is not true. You can tune your truck and then remove the edge. Hope I didnt make this more difficult than it already is.

Yes, the Edge EEF-2400 is the one that has the digital gauge face, mounts on the left of the dash, has 3 files:

Also can be adjusted for lower octane fuel.
USB/Online updateable.
Includes custom pod mount for the 04-06 F-150
Tunes in 20 seconds.
Full performance meter with 0-60 times, 1/4 mile, and estimated HP.
Can be programmed and then removed from truck.
Full set of digital gauges (Monitors 19 parameters, you choose what to display) while installed (Displays 4 parameters at one time).
Read/clear codes.
Get you a beer while you lay on the couch on a hot day (This may just be advertising hype....lol....but it sure does alot!
In the realm of F-150 tunes available, you almost have to see this cut and dry 2 ways, you go with a custom SCT from someplace like here at MOTORHAVEN, or you go with the Edge EEF-2400. The 2400 is fantastic but is not a hand tuned, one off custom tune to enhance other mods like blowers, big throttle bodies and such. It will work with and is intended for trucks from stock to trucks with the usual intake/exhaust mods....but if your going with big mods, you are doing yourself a huge disservice by not calling MotorHaven and getting a tune made specificly for your application. They can tweak your combination in with an X-Cal2 in ways a shelf tune just can not do....You have to look at your application and decide what is the best fit.
Chill onward guys.....

I just received my edge ef2400 and love it, spent lots of time researching and for what I want it's perfect. Just didnt like the stock throttle response, and sluggish shifting. The edge fixed all that, I cant believe ford doesnt tune these a little better at the factory. Love the fact that I can monitor many parameters and do my 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I work at a bulk fuel facility in Alaska so I can make up my own fuel concoction than I drive 20 miles on an empty road home every day for testing. Wont ever get a supercharger or anything so the edge is great.

Larry, Im not sure, but I dont think MotorHaven does custom tuning anymore. Maybe Ken can fill us in on that, but It looks like Auto anything bought the name? Im just guessing. For custom tunes they would be looking for someone like Eric at Innovative Diesel/Billet Speed, XXtuning, steeda.ca. Unless you were going to add a supercharger or something along those lines I dont think you would notice a custom tune on a everyday intake/exhaust modded truck. Plus you would pay more and not have the sweet display. When you buy a Roush charger you send in your comp and they reprogram it for you in 48 hours.
I dont understand why mounting the monitor in your truck in Cali would be a bad thing? Crime?
