Mu buddy has the scummins and when it get in tunnels or under bridges it will blow your ear drums out. Its alot louder than the PSD, it got a deeper tone, but that might be because of his stack system. It got 7"Bull Haulers.

My 460 truck has headers, 2 sets of 36" glasspacks and duals out the back... I'd prefer to run something quieter on it, but, glasspacks are the only muffler that won't catch stuff and get ripped off... It's my off road truck, so, it doesn't really matter.... LOL
My diesel, well, it's 100% completly bone stock, you don't hear the exhaust, instead you hear lots of injection/combustion noise, and some intake noise.

my 89 f150 has true duels and its pretty loud espely wen u get over 3000 rmps it sounds nice but sucks the fuel like a mother it is 2'' pipe out w/ some no name glass packs dumped out after that. my friend has a 86 f250 w/ the 6.9 diesel from his 84 f250, it has 3'' pipe out into some glass packs then to 4'' mider cut stacks. it sets off the car alams and sounds SO GOOD like a carbed v8 and a powerstroke w/o the turbo

MBRP 4 inch turbo back with cat but no muffler. two 6 inch tips. when it goes to the floor it sounds like a 747 taking off.
and they do run emissions tests here in texas on diesels, just not if your car is more than 20 years old. so you have to have the cat

my F150 isn't that loud, it has a nice rumble to it though, it needs headers and it needs alot of new piping cause it has a crap load of leaks. But i suppose those leaks take away from the sound. My dad has a 96 F350 PSD and he recently straight piped it and it sounds amazing. Wow i want one know just so ican have a truck that sounds that great.

I have a built 400 in my 79 2wd, Hooker Competitions, 2.5" pipes into a DIDO Stainless Magnaflow and the outlets point out on the passenger side right in front of the rear tire. Its ridiculous.... it sounds good but it makes my head hurt.

Now I have a Classic Chambered muffler with a single exit tip Lightning-style. It's still moderately loud...but much more "clean" than the open muffler.

4-5" straight pipe, it is decent enough to scream in some ears or Honda drivers

Yup, the Di-Di-Mows or pung-lee's with the white gloves and the mask love to see me behind them also. One blast from the air horn and they eithe side swipe the center median or move over.

They never said anything about having exhaust cutouts!! I don't know, how loud do YOU think a 557 stroker is with open headers? Car alarms? You gotta be kidding. It's funnier when you pass a car and the driver drops a deuce in his pants. That's pretty alarming, I think.

.

Look into some flowmaster mufflers. They now have an offroad type muffler that is tuff as heck. much more crush resistant than any other muffler. they have them in the series 40 i believe,
