does anybody know if there are updated intake connection boots for the 7.3?i know this is a problem with power adders but i would like to keep the extra power without having oil seepage around all the boots.and yes ive tightened them.what is everybody else using?2000 f-350. thanks.
Do the CCV mod, that's where the oil is coming from.
CCV is simply redirecting the crankcase ventilation from the air intake to a hose, dumping it either into the exhaust or out the bottom of the truck next to the frame. Don't have any parts of the hose that slope up and then back down, it will eventually fill with condensation and clog.
Once you get that CCV mod done, you can replace the boots with some aftermarket ones. Black Cloud Diesel Performance, one of our site sponsors, sells a set of complete replacement boots. I replaced all of mine when I did my turbo upgrades. I noticed the stock ones were pretty soft when I took them off.
