Ranger 5 Speed Problems Please Help!!
I own a 97 Ford Ranger with a 4.0 manual transmission. I had my clutch changed over at 25,000 miles and im having more problems. It is very difficult to engage my second gear and it is real bad when I have drove it a long distance.When I push the clutch petal in it sqeeks and the petal is very hard. Also it chatters like crazy when I launch it.
After a long trip around town and a series of grinding second gear I decided to park it for a week. After a week I got curious and drove it around the block and now it is engaging in second gear again.
I ordered a clutch Yesterday to start buying parts to fix it. The main question is anyone have an idea what is the problem and how much damage could I have done to the transmission.
Any help would be soo great.
