ABS Replacement Question(s)
Anybody have any tips? Should I go ahead and replace both front sensors and repack left and right wheel bearings or wait for the right sensor to go?
I also need the torque spec for the final wheel bearing adjustment if anybody knows off hand.
Thanks.
When I did the front inner-spindle-bearing (the little needle bearing the front axle rides in), I was able to get the ABS sensor off without removing the wheel bearing.
The rotor is loose on the hub, so once you remove one of the caliper pins and swing it out of the way, the rotor comes off. There, behind the rotor, right on top of the wheel bearing is the ABS sensor. Two torx-head bolts and it comes free, but you might have to maneuver it around the backing plate. I bent the tab on the backing plate out of the way (little tab sits over the ABS sensor), and the ABS sensor comes right out.
I'd replace just the one and make sure the problem goes away, before going and changing the other side (if at all).

Easy fix unless it breaks trying to get it out. Definately just going with the one side. Thanks a bunch.
