Yeah I hear you. JD is our computer guy for NY. He set this map up. We had a small core group of about 10 of us that posted up pretty regular back in February and March. It is down to about 5 of us since April. I am hoping that we can get more NY members to post up and get some G2G's going. As Ray (F2504x4) always says "grow slow, grow strong" so that is what I am planning on doing.
Not certain what has happened with Eedvark. He hasn't been on FTE since May.
I forget other guys have to work, I'm on disability so i have the time to post and check. I do spend a lot of time with my grandkids and running errands for my kids. I use that stuff as part of my rehab plan. Hopefully I'll start being able produce income again, if not just be productive somehow. Last I spoke with Eed, he wasn't feeling very well, I hope he's okay. Any way to check on him?, maybe a member in his area can do a stop by.
Yeah I just happen to be off today as I was really burnt out from work last week and have vacation time I have to use before I lose it. I was out cleaning the truck this morning and the heat and sun took it's toll on me so I am just trying to catch up on email and stuff in the air conditioned house now.
I'm headed to the Jersey Shore in about an hour, going to spend the rest of the week sitting in the ocean and hiding under a beach umbrella, after years of working outside I do not sun worship, had all I'll ever need. Nighttime for the boards and partying with friends.
I don't sun worship either, but I do enjoy the outdoors. I had to clean some tar off of the SD and give it a bath. It got up to 95 and the humidity is at 100% here so it was rough being out there. Took a cool shower and am just going to relax the rest of today before I have to go to work tomorrow. Have a safe trip and enjoy.
Dually02 - go to the first post in this thread and there is a link to the map. Also go to my thread on joining the NY Chapter and follow the instructions in the first post. That way you will automatically get updates on any new posts in the forum. Welcome!!!
I'm in! It's nice to know that there are some guys from the capital region on board. I was given a 78' F150 4x4, with a lot of rust and a dead 351m. My buddy, the giver has a 400m sitting in his garage. he's an old ford freak that works for NAPA and has lots of goodies. the plan is a moderate cam, aluminum highrise intake with a 650 Holly. It has duals with glass packs. W@e currently are doing all the brakes and the left fromt axel bushing (the rubber clamp thing).
Ny next trip to the truck I'll get some pics.
Thanks for letting me on board.
CAn someone send me more info on this club?Tballard1@stny.rr.com
The NY Chapter is a forum dedicated to those things related to New York state. It doesn't necessary have to be about Ford trucks even though this entire site is devoted to them. The NY Chapter is not really a club but we do try to get together with one another and members will help one another when they can. Feel free to join the chapter. Follow the instructions in this thread:
streetrodcreed welcome to the NY Chapter!! Now that you are on the map sign up to be a member of the chapter. Just follow the link in the post just above yours. We should get together some time. We are pretty close to each other.
Hey gang, the Delaware Chapter likes our map so well that they adding themselves to it!!! I figure it is not a problem as we have NY members that have posted up their other location in our map so I figure no harm. Their thread on our map is here.
Check out FTE's newest chapter here and say hello!!
