Question

Headers stock?

Guys I was wondering why dont Motor makers put headers on the trucks stock?
I mean all I hear is good things from headers so why not put them stock I mean they supposialy improve gas milage and power. Has anyone wondered this or am I just going mad. What advantages does a stock manifold give?

I've also wonderd that, but not sure why they do that.
The car companys must get some of the profit from the header companys or somthing like that.

Durability is the answer to the question. Cast iron manifords last almost forever and are a heck of a lot cheaper then case iron headers.
