Ok all you non redneck types out there. There are Two actually 3 kinds of smokeless tobacco but well let the brits explain the other kind. One kind in america, is reffered to as MOIST SNUFF, the kind you take a pinch of and put it between ur lip n ur gums. Dip has to things in it, wich makes it different from chew, 1 being it comes in many flavors and cuts, long cut fine cut, mint wintergreen, apple, cherry, straight, even as far as peach. Moist snuff is finely cut up tobacco leaves mixed with a little bit of fiberglass, the fiberglass is what makes it different from chew besides the way its cut. Fiberglass helps to get the nicotene in to your blood stream by cutting up the lip, this is why when u dip for the first time it burns, because your mouth is not used to having litlle peices of glass in it. Chew on the other hand is just the shredded leaves of the tobacco plant, and tastes somewhat like raisins. Some people beg to differ on the taste, but its got a sweet molassesy flavor if u get what im sayin. Chew is not as addicting as dip is because it doesnt contain the fiberglass to cut your lip, but chew can damage your teeth really fast due to the high ammounts of sugar. One thing you never do when dipping snuff is swallow it or the spit, some swalow chew spit but its kind of gross. Most dippers have developed a tolerance for swallowing so some can do so while others tend to throw up or get really sick if they swallow. I will tell you this though, if you dont want to get hooked dont start because you will. After your first pinch youll feel a lil sick but youll want to try it again and then youll be hooked. I quit every time i have a girl just out of the respect for her but every time im single i start back to my old ways. Im 17 so im a minor and i shouldnt be doing it but i cant help it, but ill be legal soon so i wont have to hide it from my parents anymore lets just hope they dont read this thread lol hope i could help yall out.

I've always wondered, and mods if this is not a really great thing to be asking, by all means kill it, where do you guys who are underage get your tobacco at? Do you just know stores that don't card? Fake ID? Older friends who buy it for you? Parents who buy it for you?

I've always just been curious about that, because I never really had any desire to smoke or chew (I'm a big fan of my teeth and lungs, we're pretty tight), so I never needed to know where to get it when I was <18.

Let me put a little EDIT tag down here: This isn't me asking how I can score tobacco or alcohol or whatever, I'm a big boy now, my drivers license can get all of that for me. I just am genuinely curious.

Yeah, or you do what I did and look old enough to buy, and then hit on the cashier so she forgets to card you. I chew Copenhagen Long Cut and Skoal Wintergreen Longcut, as well as Southern Pride. Used to chew Skoal Frost almost exclusively, but I can't find it anymore . I'm almost 20, and I've been chewin since I was 15, but had my first dip of Copenhagen Snuff on a dare when I was 8. lol, good times, good times.

Most of the little country markets are happy to sell anything to anyone. I have bought Cope since I was 15, and beer since I was 16 at the one I went to the most.

I partake in a cigar every once and a while. I think the brand is Backwoods (Sweet Aromatic). They are some of the nastiest looking things you have ever seen, but they are pretty tasty. I normally only indulge when I am out camping/drinking with my buddies. They are all natural (100% tobacco, no damn additives).

Cancer sticks, eh?

I don't understand how young person could end up smoking these days. Theres so much info proving that its not healthy at all and pretty much pointless. It stinks too. And it costs so much damn money.

Not trying to insult anyone, but why would you smoke 'cancer sticks'?

I know I never could. Like I said earlier, I hardly ever get through a can of chew before it expires anyways. Just have to be smart about it!

I don't see a reason to kill this thread. Quite a few members here are 18 and over anyways. Regaurdless, it's not like the majority of the people haven't done something "underage" anyways. When was the first time you had a drink? The majority of the people weren't 21...
