I had that problem once. I used a wooden 4x4 that just fit across inner fenders. I set a little hydraulic jack on top of it and ran a chain over the top of the jack and bolted it to the carb studs. I put a little pressure on it and it didn't want to lift it off and while I was standing there wondering how hard I could go with out stripping the studs, it popped off. If you try this, be careful of stripping the studs or collapsing the inner fenders.
First make sure you have all the bolts out. Then at the front corner of the intake where it meets the head, use a long pry bar and hammer it under the intake to break the seal. You might have to use a smaller pry bar intially then work your way up. Once you do that pry that puppy up.
