AMEN!!!! I just wish my computer could run it. Everything in my computer could run it except for the video card (FX5500 128MB). I need at least a 6800 to run it properly.
I played all sorts of them when I was younger, then gave them up for a couple years.
Then halo 1 came out with xbox... and I've been hooked on that ever since. It's the only game I play, and I play it at a pretty high level. Actually having a get together for some halo 1 on April 1 with some of the other best from California kids... we usually have a lan for halo once every couple months. Play it on xbc between those.
It's funny, I bought the xbox for about $200, halo 1 for about $50, and have gotten countless hours of fun from just those two things. I also use my xbox as my dvd player... but it sees so many hours of halo it's ridiculous. Best investment I've ever made for entertainment. It's amazing that after playing the game so much for over three years I can still improve at it, and there are still plenty of folks in the country that are better than me.
And I think halo 2 is a terrible game.

Ptthhhhh, hate video games I can't stand sports games, if that counts. I mean, just go out and play real sports?!?! I almost only play FPS games online, never gets old or too predictable becuase the players are real
I havent played a video game since xmas. I have no time at all. I played grand theft auto san andreas and me and my GF raced playing Ford Racing (cant remember what number) and Ford Mustang Racing.

yeh i got all 3 ford racing the mustang game, all grand tursimos, all atv off road furys. but i only play them at nite too much to do during the day
I don't play any sports games, but I'm pretty goddamn goot at UT2K4, Tranmania Nations, and NFS3. I play more single-player then multi, though. Recently it was HL2 and D3 (duh), and Thief 3 (god that was scary).
I still edit around with the SDK for the origional Deus Ex, too.
Video games are entertainment, people! To each his own, and if you dont like 'em, dont buy 'em! The same could be said for people who trick out thier trucks as serious gamers wasting money: All a car/truck is REALLY needed for is to get from point A to point B if you think about it.
I have a PS2 and Im glad I do. However, it is hard for me to find the time to play games between work, hitting the gym(which is more important to me),family and other obligations. There is always something that needs to be done. Somedays after work Im too tired to actually pop the disc in, wait for it to load and try hard enough to beat the game. Yea I know that is bad. I do agree that they are overpriced and the resale value is worse then my 2004 Ranger 2 weeks after I bought it.
BTW, I love NBA Live and GTA for my PS2, and Halo 2 online for the X Box at my buddies house.

I don't hate video games but I have never been into them. I do have a super nintendo though but haven't had it hooked up for over 2 years. It's just my preferance but I would rather be outside working on my truck its just so much more satisfying to actually have something to show for your time. I also had a friend in high school that would stay up all night playing video games and only get an hour or two before class the next day.
This is Off topic but i love video games. They dont hurt anything or anyone, but hey u gotta blame something for being lazy. Ya certainly cant blame yourself....can you?
Can't see spending that amount of money on them... I had a Sega Genesis as a kid and that was it... I have a lot better things to spend my money on, like guns or more reloading stuff...
