Can anyone tell me what ratio my differentials are? Tha tag on the back rear has #'s of V1 250
55 10 2 8K04
Thanks for any help given.
I think that top line should read V125C
V = name of the plant that made it, I can not think of it right now.
125C = Ford Tr. '87-91 F250 3.55: 10.25 NL
Ford Tr. '87-91 F350 3.55: 10.25 NL
55 = 3.55:1 Ratio (There is a 3 under the bolt head)
10 2 = 10.25" Ring Gear
8K04 = Mgf. Date Oct 04, 1988
These tags tell you a lot more than the code on the door.
I really appreciate your reply. My truck has an aftermarket hood, door, and fender so a door tag isn't present. Now I know why I can't pull the cattle trailer without it stugling.
