Chapter Leader
Well that is that - I am not sure who deserves the most condolences - me or Gashog. The term is only 6 months and then a new election, with (hopefully) more members participating. I will likely vote for gashog in that election!
My inaugural ball will be in Pleasanton on either the 25th or 26th of this month. As soon as GJ tells me which I will announce the date.
As I see it, most people who are heavy Internet users are uncomfortable with social events (not us, we are special!). While we will do the traditional things to attract and keep members using the FTE website, our main thrust should be the people we already know and like.
I will get some business cards printed - turns out 4 color cards are cheap if you buy them over the Internet. I will mail a stack to each of you, and ask that you pass them out to your friends and anyone else you think might enjoy a Ford truck club.
They don't have to own a truck, just be interested in one. If they do own one, it should be a Ford. We don't want to get into arguments about other brands of trucks. I guess they can own other brands, but at least one truck should be a Ford. Just use your common sense as to who you invite.
We need a webmaster immediately - FTE will give us webspace and I want to use that address on the business cards. We will need a home page before we give any cards out - even if it just links the people to this forum for now.
Webmaster will need to work in HTML - you can use DreamWeaver or equivalent, but FrontPage is out. Any volunteers?
I will put up another type poll, or get goose to do it. We need to rate what we want/expect from the chapter, and start providing it.
Anyway, I am sure there will be more later so stay tuned - and thanks for the support!

Glad you are the new chapter leader. I think you will bring this forum back to life, something it has needed for some time now. I voted for you because you would make a great leader.
