Knocking???

I just bought a 7.3 F350 turbo diesel and I noticed it making a slight knocking sound the other day while in drive but stopped at a light. It is now no longer noticable. Should I be worried or is this normal since its a diesel. Ive owned them before but never noticed this sound.

Make sure the oil is the right grade and weight. Maybe have it changed so you know.
Make sure the air filters are clean.
