Well, when my 95 ranger v6 with abs.
When I park it for about 5 hours and need to drive it, I start the egnition, but when I have to brake like at a stop sign or whatever my truck jolts. It screeches and jolts.
I need new shocks, so if this is possibly related to shocks, then its ok.
It mainly jolts after its been in the rain.
Are you by chance trying to say that the rear brakes grab and lock primarily when it's damp outside? If so, be aware that the lining material is prone to absorb moisture and cause this issue. You might consider trying an aftermarket brand of brake shoes.
Ditto to what Bill said. I had the same problem with the factory brakes on my 87. On damp mornings I just lightly rode the brakes for the 1st 50 feet of driving to heat them up & dry them out.
Cant complain since the factory brakes lasted 150K. Replaced them with mid grade pads and shoes from Napa & never had the problem again.
