What is the largest tire I can put on my 1992 Ford F150 4X4 without the rubbing on hard right and left turns? I know that 33X12.5R15LT's are too big. That is what was on the truck when I bought it. I currently run P235/75R15LT's on there now. I would like to go larger (without the problems). I was looking at 30X10.5R15LT tires, will these work? Will I be able to larger than that without the problems? I'm new at this. Thanks
32's will likley rub the radius arm. 31's if they are agressive depending on the backspacing of your wheels might. With the 30's you will have no rubbing even off road. They are a good choice in tire size for the F-150's.
I have 32x11.50x15 on my truck and they dont rub at all. That might be becuase of my aftermarket wheels though. The 31x10.50x15 shouldn't be a problem, people run them on 2WD trucks all the time. Thats the size I would go with. THe 30x9.50X15 don't look much bigger than the stock size.
I just got two sets of tires. I mounted some 31X11.50X15 A/T on the stock wheels and tehy run nice and I mounted 33X12X15 M/T on some steelies and they rub on those HARD rights and lefts off road but I can deal. The 31 dont rub at all. I had them rub when I bottomed out once but nothing crazy. I would get some 31's if the truck is living a double life.
The BFG is a good tire. I have 32 11.50 15 ATs on my truck. I wouldn't put on the 33 inch tires with out any lift at all. 31 10.50 15 works the best with no lift. Besides that the larger tires drastically affect gear ratio, driveablibity and preformance!

32's will rub the radius arm when you turn deep right or left with stock wheels. But will not rub the fender unless you are turned deep and the suspension is hit hard.
I have a 91 with 32's on mine. If you would like to see what they look like on the truck go here:
even my 31's rubbed my radius arms at full lock, they were 31 bfg mt 10.5 on stock aluminum rims. i put some 33s on there, they rubbed the arms, just a little worse, just didnt ever take it to full lock. runnin 35s on a leaf sprung 44 now.
i have a 94 f-150 with a 3 inch body lift and i have 32x11.50x15 tires on my truck and they dont rub at all and i have a 10inch rim over an 8" stock rim width. the 32 didnt fit with out the body lift,
